PHILIPPINES
In the Philippines, many families are working hard to build a better future. For those living in poverty, the challenges can be overwhelming.
Women and children are particularly vulnerable. Across communities, many face violence, exploitation, and limited access to opportunity. These challenges are often driven by financial pressure, gender inequality, and lack of support. For some children, this means working in unsafe environments instead of going to school. For many women, it means living with violence and having few options to escape.
Together with our local partners, Mercy Works supports women, children and families to build safer, more secure lives.
From providing safe shelter and trauma support, to helping families build stable incomes and strengthening community protection, our work addresses both immediate need and long-term prevention.
This is practical, community-led support that helps children stay safe and in school, supports women to rebuild their lives, and strengthens families to create more stable futures.
