We see this in Timor-Leste, where women like Angelita and Noberta are building brighter futures for their families through Mercy Works-supported livelihood programs.
Angelita increased the income she earns from her traditional weaving business, helping her provide greater stability for her family and send her children to school.
Noberta received support to establish a small pig-rearing enterprise, creating a sustainable source of income and new opportunities for her family’s future.
Their stories show what can happen when people are given the opportunity to build a better future for themselves and their families.
