Nancy Hourani

Mercy Works Connect WA Coordinator

Nancy brings extensive experience in training, stakeholder engagement and change management across the corporate, education and community sectors. Throughout her career, she has designed learning programs, built strong relationships and supported people to confidently develop new skills and adapt to change. As a former Mercy Works Connect volunteer, she also brings a firsthand understanding of the program and the difference volunteers can make in the lives of people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

Nancy now coordinates Mercy Works Connect in Western Australia, recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and working closely with schools, community organisations and adult learning centres to strengthen the program across the state. Drawing on her experience in education and facilitation, she is committed to creating positive learning experiences that help people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds build confidence, strengthen their English and participate more fully in their communities.
