Danielle Hayes

Fundraising and Marketing Manager

Danielle joined Mercy Works in 2023 and is passionate about social justice and purpose-driven work to ensure everyone has equal access to participate fully in our world. Danielle is an experienced marketing communications professional in both the non-profit and corporate worlds and has worked in Australia, Singapore and the USA.

Most recently, Danielle was the Director of Stewardship at Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health located in the heart of Silicon Valley, USA. The Foundation is the sole fundraiser for Stanford University’s children’s hospital and for the maternal and paediatric health programs at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. Prior to this, Danielle was with the international public relations consultancy firm, Hill & Knowlton, first in Singapore and then San Francisco. She worked with Fortune 100 companies including American Express, ChevronTexaco, HP, Johnson & Johnson, Merck Sharp and Dohme, and Yahoo! One of her most rewarding client experiences was with a pro bono account, Larkin Street Youth Services. A non-profit empowering young people in San Francisco to move beyond homelessness. Danielle feels a strong connection to the Mercy teachings of Catherine McAuley. One of her first career roles was with the Mater Hospital, North Sydney where she worked with several Sisters of Mercy.
